Held for the first time at the Palais des congrès de Montréal (Montreal Congress Centre), show organizers have shared that approximately 7,000 visitors attended the two day 2023 MCEE Expo, held April 19th and 20th.

“It was great after a four-year absence that the MCEE tradeshow is still proof that our industry members can come together for a common cause to create meaningful partnerships that increase the quality of tradeshows for exhibitors, visitors and for the industry associations,” says Ralph Suppa, president of the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH).

The biannual show was last held in Spring 2019, as the pandemic forced the cancellation of the 2021 edition. In total more than 300 exhibitors occupied 65,000 sq. ft. featuring new products and technologies. According to the show organizers, for 82% of visitors, seeing new innovations is the main reason for attending the show.

The New Products Showcase, a regular feature of the MCEE Expo, was of interest to visitors with its 58 products highlighting sustainable development, energy efficiency, water efficiency and innovation. The winners of the New Product Competition were selected by a jury of industry experts and announced just prior to the show opening.

“With its support for new products, its topical seminars that attracted more than 1,200 people and the variety of its exhibitors, the MCEE Show reinforces its position as an indispensable event in the Canadian industry each edition,” said Steve Boulanger, executive director of the corporation des maîtres mécaniciens en tuyauterie du Québec (CMMTQ).

“After the success of this return, we are already working to organize the 2025 edition, which promises new products and technologies to the delight of exhibitors and visitors,” added Boulanger.

The MCEE Expo is organized by CMMTQ, CIPH, the Corporation des maîtres électriciens du Québec (CMEQ), and the Corporation des entreprises de traitement de l’air et du froid (CETAF), in collaboration with Électro Fédération Canada (EFC).

“Thanks to the goodwill and collaboration of the CIPH, CMMTQ, CMEQ and CETAF members and staff who have participated on the Show Committee,” noted Suppa. “They have combined their resources, talents, and experiences to produce a top-notch trade show which has not gone unnoticed. A special thank you and recognition to the Chair of the Show Committee, Fred Lajoie.”

The next edition of MCEE will take place on April 24 and 25, 2025 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.
